There are two basic ways I can help drive customers to your website: through SEO and SEA, which both fall under the umbrella of yet another alphabet soup acronym, SEM (search engine marketing).
What is SEO?
Everyone wants their website to be one of the first listed in Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. I can help make that a reality for you through search engine optimization. This might mean simply including the right keywords on your website. It can also involve link building and improving your title tag, anchor text, and other page elements. Most importantly, it makes your website useful and relevant to those searching for your business or service.
What is SEA?
Search engine advertising or SEA refers to what you can do to get your website on the first pages of search engines by paying to be in the sponsored link section (the ads that appear in the right column of a Google or Yahoo search results page).
Google AdWords and Yahoo Sponsored Search are the two strongest SEA services. There are two great benefits to both services:
1. You’re able to reach people at the “magic moment” when they’re actually looking for information about your products and services.
2. You pay only when someone clicks on your ad. You decide what you’re willing to pay, it could be as little as $0.20 per click to as much as $5 or more. You set a daily budget, guaranteeing that you will never overspend.
